Lunch and Learn: Female founders: Turn your passion into a business
Posted: Fri 10th Mar 2023
In this International Women's Day Lunch and Learn, twin sisters and business partners Annie and Jemma Charman tell us about their entrepreneurial journey, the challenges they overcame on the way, and how to build a female-founder community.
Annie and Jemma started Green Rooms, an online marketplace for plant lovers and a pop-up botanical market, while on maternity leave from their day jobs in London. Jemma was working as a homeware buyer for high-street retailers while Annie was a project manager for an online ad tech company.
They founded their business together, a culmination of a lifelong love of plants forged from growing up with garden designer parents and a passion for supporting indie businesses.
